yay... the first blog for 2008.. heheh...
after having a terrible headache on January 2008's 1st day.. i finally woke up with a better feeling this morning.. when i reached the office, i said to myself "i think it' s time to change the appearance of my MP.. something to be "attached" with the renewal spirit strongly felt these past couple of days.." so i did.. and as I was searching for the quotations to support the look of my MP, i've passed this several loooong quotations below.. or more like a poem...?
In the name of the best within you
do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worstin the name of the values that keep you alive,
do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly,
the mindless in those who have never achieved his title
do not lose your knowledge
that man's proper estate is an upright posture,
an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roadsdo not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark,
in the hopeless swamps of the approximate,
the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all
do not let the hero in your soul perish,
in lonely frustration for the life you deserved,
but have never been able to reachcheck your road and the nature of your battle.the world you desired can be won,
it exists, it is real, it is possible,
it's yours.. nice one, huh... it's written by Ayn Rand, a Russian writer and novelist who was born in America on 1905.. seems appropriate to get me all fired up for the complete 365 days ahead!! Ayn Rand also came with a nice quote about education.. here it is..
“The only purpose of education is to teach a student how to live his life by developing his mind and equipping him to deal with reality. The training he needs is theoretical, i.e., conceptual. He has to be taught to think, to understand, to integrate, to prove. He has to be taught the essentials of the knowledge discovered in the past-and he has to be equipped to acquire further knowledge by his own effort.”
hmmm... if only the teachers here in our country all think like this..

enjoy... and let's conquer this year!!
"the true war is the war against ourself"
karena sebagai manusia kita punya hawa nafsu dan ngga selamanya hawa nafsu itu benar alias pada tempatnya.. so i think there will be times (or there are times) when we have to fight against it, to protect ourselves.. to protect our loved ones.. and most importantly.. to protect our faith..
"Dan orang-orang yang bersunguh-sungguh untuk (mencari keridhaan) Kami, benar- benar akan Kami tunjukkan kepada mereka jalan-jalan Kami. Dan sesungguhnya Allah benar-benar beserta orang-orang yang berbuat baik.” (QS 29:69)
orang yang mencari itulah orang yang mau merelakan dan bisa mengalahkan hawa nafsu mereka.. but then again why is it so much easire to just talk about it instead of doing it.. damn..
a day.. in a stupid and narrow-minded world.. we can always act as if we're smart no matter how foolish we are..
akhirnya banyak pahlawan kesiangan banyak orang kaya tapi kampungan semua cara pun dihalalkan suami poligami, istri mabuk-mabukan
*once again, in a stupid and narrow-minded world* fight stupidity -- share intellectuality -- speaks freely -- create an open minded family
Chapter 1. I walk down a street and there's a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. It takes forever to get out. It's my fault. Chapter 2. I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It still takes a long time to get out. It's not my fault. Chapter 3. I walk down the same street. I fall in the hole again. It's becoming a habit. It is my fault. I get out immediately. Chapter 4. I walk down the same street and see the deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it. Chapter 5. I walk down a different street
