Pameran EDGE-2008 akan digelar di Surabaya, mulai tanggal 18-21 Juni 2008 di Gramedia Expo, Jl. Basuki Rahmat, Sby. Acara ini adalah upaya konkrit dari FORUM FGD untuk terus mengembangkan dunia grafika di Indonesia , khususnya wilayah timur. Dunia grafika merupakan industri yang memiliki potensi dan peluang bisnis yang sangat menjanjikan. Dipilihnya Surabaya sebagai tempat penyelenggaraan karena Surabaya adalah kota terbesar kedua setelah Jakarta, sekaligus merupakan kota industri dan menjadi kota penghubung untuk wilayah Timur Indonesia seperti Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua dan Kepulauan Nusa Tenggara.

EDGE-2008 ini tidak hanya akan menampilkan desain grafis dan digital printing, tetapi juga industri grafika secara utuh yang terangkum dalam tiga pilar utama yaitu Packaging, Promotion dan Publishing. Beragam produk terkini dari para pelaku industri akan ditampilkan pada pameran ini.

asli.. menurut gw, ini film luar biasa banget.. 10 tahun adalah penantian yang sangat lama bagi seorang anak kecil yang terpisah dari ibunya sejak lahir.. adalah waktu yang sangat lama bagi seorang ibu yang selama ini menganggap bahwa bayi yang ia kandung telah gugur walaupun sebenarnya bayi laki-laki itu hidup dan berada di panti asuhan.. waktu yang juga sangat lama bagi seorang laki-laki untuk bertemu kembali dengan seorang wanita yang sangat ia cintai..

dan semuanya berawal di satu malam ketika Louis yang merupakan vokalis sebuah band bertemu dengan Lyla yang anggota New York Philharmonic Orchestra.. pertemuan singkat yang meninggalkan benih di rahim Lyla.. Sayangnya, karena kecelakaan bayi itu dipisahkan secara paksa dari Lyla dengan kabar bahwa jabang bayi yang dikandung tidak dapat diselamatkan.. Padahal bayi itulah yang kemudian tumbuh menjadi seorang anak laki-laki yang teramat sangat jenius bernama Evan.. iya begitu yakin bahwa melalui musik, ia akan bertemu dengan kedua orang tuanya..

dan ketiga insan yang terpisahkan itu berusaha untuk menemui satu sama lain melalui musik.. this is an incredible and awesome movie.. dari awal hingga akhir, gua ga beranjak sedikitpun karena ga mau ketinggalan every little detail perjalanan ketiga orang itu.. bagaimana usaha mereka untuk bertemu, bagaimana mereka tidak pernah putus harapan untuk kembali bersatu...

Kisah nyata dari seorang veteran perang Vietnam bernama Richard Pimentel. Dengan masa lalu yang menyedihkan, penuh dengan penolakan dan harus kehilangan pendengarannya saat bertugas di Vietnam, ia memperjuangkan kesetaraan hak mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak bagi para penyandang cacat.

Sangat inspiratif.. dan bikin saya malu.. mereka dengan segala keterbatasan, masih mau berusaha keras untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang layak, masih mau kuliah.. Sementara terkadang kita yang sudah bisa kuliah dan sekarang bisa dapat kerjaan enak, suka lupa untuk bersyukur dan memaksimalkan keadaan yang sudah kita dapetin.. Suka bawaannya susaaaaah melulu.. ugh .. :)

Tokoh yang paling gua suka di film ini adalah seorang jenius penderita Celebral Palsy dengan IQ 180 bernama "Art" (keren yah namanya...) .. karena penyakit itu menyerang saraf motorik, dia harus duduk di kursi roda.. Adegan yang lucu waktu dia berusaha minum Coca Cola kaleng.. sangat-sangat susah mulai dari proses nyemplungin koin ke mesin, sampe akhirnya itu kaleng bisa dibuka tapi dia harus pake sedotan..

Tapi walaupun begitu, dia ngga pernah melihat sisi negatif hidup.. Dia selalu bisa tersenyum, bisa ngebanyol.. dan ngga pernah patah semangat..

Makanya, ini film bener-bener inspiratif sekaligus menghibur!!
